Tobys work is a mix of photography and fine art exploring formal qualities of the everyday, each piece starts with and uses the photograph as a material to create an image.
Influenced by artistic movements such as found object art, trash art, and ‘readymades’, combined with self-learning creative softwares, Tobys practice falls between the two; utilising his digital abilities to use photographs as a material and physically intervening with the image to create an artwork from a photographic ‘found object’.
